Petronet LNG Limited is one of the fastest growing world-class Public Limited Company in the Indian energy sector. It has set up the country's first LNG receiving and regasification terminal at Dahej, Gujarat with present nominal capacity of 17.5 MMTPA and another terminal at Kochi, Kerala having a nominal capacity of 5 MMTPA. The company is also exploring suitable opportunities within and outside India to expand its business presence.
The Company had set up South East Asia's first LNG Receiving and Regasification Terminal with an original nameplate capacity of 5 MMTPA at Dahej, Gujarat. The infrastructure was developed in the shortest possible time and at a benchmark cost. The capacity of the terminal has been expanded in phases which is currently 17.5 MMTPA and the same is under expansion to 22.5 MMTPA in two phases. The terminal has 6 LNG storage tanks and other vaporization facilities. The terminal is meeting around 40% of the total gas demand of the country

It was a moment of great honor for Petronet when the  Chairman of Wipro Limited, Dr. Azim Premji, one of the world's most successful providers of  business, technology, process solutions and a philanthropist visited us on 17th August 2012. Hailed by the business community as one of the most influential entrepreneurs in the world, Dr. Premji's is been called ‘India’s Bill Gates’. He was welcomed by our MD & CEO and the entire team of senior leaders.

Dr A. K. Balyan along with other senior leaders interacted with him. Sh. R. K. Garg, Director (Finance) gave a brief presentation on Company’s roles in the India’s oil & gas sector, Â achievements including IT initiatives and the role of Wipro as a reliable partner in extending their technical Know-how to manage SAP ERP.
During discussion, Dr. Premji focused on various solutions for energy sector that Wipro has and will be interested in sharing with Petronet. The visit of Dr. Azim Premji signifies that Petronet has spread its good will in all business domains including IT sector. Â Dr. Balyan extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Premji and his team for the continuing support of Wipro and expressed desire to expand the horizon of association beyond IT Â to other sectors.
