Petronet LNG Limited is one of the fastest growing world-class Public Limited Company in the Indian energy sector. It has set up the country's first LNG receiving and regasification terminal at Dahej, Gujarat with present nominal capacity of 17.5 MMTPA and another terminal at Kochi, Kerala having a nominal capacity of 5 MMTPA. The company is also exploring suitable opportunities within and outside India to expand its business presence.
The Company had set up South East Asia's first LNG Receiving and Regasification Terminal with an original nameplate capacity of 5 MMTPA at Dahej, Gujarat. The infrastructure was developed in the shortest possible time and at a benchmark cost. The capacity of the terminal has been expanded in phases which is currently 17.5 MMTPA and the same is under expansion to 22.5 MMTPA in two phases. The terminal has 6 LNG storage tanks and other vaporization facilities. The terminal is meeting around 40% of the total gas demand of the country

A small but highly distinguished gathering attended the “IPE Corporate Excellence Awards on 14th December 2012 at Vivanta by Taj, New Delhi. The event was recognition and honor of companies as well as individual who, through their corporate practices, have helped to raise India’s corporate disclosure standards and corporate governance. The Awards seek to identify and celebrate those companies that have had a positive impact on our environment and society as well as their business.
The IPE Corporate Excellence Awards is an initiative by the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad, a non-profit educational society. IPE is the premier Business School at Hyderabad and is recognized as a "Centre of Excellence" by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi for doctoral studies. It has also been recognized by eight universities in India for guidance of PhD scholar.
It is matter of pride for Petronet LNG Ltd as Dr. A.K.Balyan, our MD & CEO was conferred with “CEO of the year “award by IPE Â whose constant corporate practices raised India’s corporate disclosure standards & corporate governance and had positive impact on our environment , society & their business.
