Petronet LNG Limited is one of the fastest growing world-class Public Limited Company in the Indian energy sector. The Company had set up South East Asia's first LNG Receiving and Regasification Terminal with an original nameplate capacity of 5 MMTPA at Dahej, Gujarat. The infrastructure was developed in the shortest possible time and at a benchmark cost. The capacity of the terminal has been expanded in phases which is currently 17.5 MMTPA and the same is under expansion to 22.5 MMTPA in two phases. The terminal has 6 LNG storage tanks and other vaporization facilities. The terminal is meeting around 40% of the total gas demand of the country

Petronet LNG Ltd made its presence felt again after being enlisted high up in the categories of performers in the Fortune India 500 List of FY 2012. Outshining its previous performance, true to its goal of continuous improvement and progress, Petronet LNG not only gets enlisted in the  elite list of fe 500 India's Finest Companies again but this time skyrocketed  its performance to climb up the ladder even further from last year’s 75th rank  to 35th rank for FY12.
The fe 500 is a ranking compiled on the basis of revenue and market capitalization of the top 750 companies. The list is compiled and published annually by The Financial Express.
