Petronet LNG Limited is one of the fastest growing world-class Public Limited Company in the Indian energy sector. It has set up the country's first LNG receiving and regasification terminal at Dahej, Gujarat with present nominal capacity of 17.5 MMTPA and another terminal at Kochi, Kerala having a nominal capacity of 5 MMTPA. The company is also exploring suitable opportunities within and outside India to expand its business presence.
The Company had set up South East Asia's first LNG Receiving and Regasification Terminal with an original nameplate capacity of 5 MMTPA at Dahej, Gujarat. The infrastructure was developed in the shortest possible time and at a benchmark cost. The capacity of the terminal has been expanded in phases which is currently 17.5 MMTPA and the same is under expansion to 22.5 MMTPA in two phases. The terminal has 6 LNG storage tanks and other vaporization facilities. The terminal is meeting around 40% of the total gas demand of the country

It was a proud moment for Petronet family when Mr Pratip Chaudhuri, Chairman of The State Bank of India (SBI) visited Corporate Office in Delhi to meet Dr. A K Balyan, MD & CEO. The meeting was also attended by Mr R K Garg, Director (Finance), Mr. C S Mani Director (Technical) and Mr Abhilesh Gupta, Chief Manager (Finance).
SBI is the largest Indian banking and financial services company (by turnover and total assets) and have over 22,000 branches, the largest network in India. With an asset base of $352 billion and $285 billion in deposits, SBI is a regional banking behemoth and is one of the largest financial institutions in the world. It employs more than 220000 people.
Petronet's association with SBI is since the formative days of Petronet. Since then SBI remains the single largest lender and the leader of Lenders' consortium. Apart from meeting company's funding requirements, SBI meets the entire day to day banking requirements of the company. The visit of Mr Pradip Chaudhuri signifies the growing importance of Petronet not only on its forte in Gas Business but also in the financing world. During the meeting, Dr. Balyan thanked for the continuing support of SBI and apprised Mr. Chaudhuri on the various expansion plans of Petronet. Â Mr. Garg mentioned about the various banking relationships of the Company with SBI. Shri Chaudhuri reaffirms SBI’s commitment to meet all the funding and other banking requirements of the company and emphasised on the further strengthening the relationship.
