Unaudited Financial Results for the quarter and 9 months ended 31st Dec 2014

  • Capacity utilization of 110% at the Dahej Terminal

  • Quarterly PAT of Rs 162 crore

  • Quarterly turnover of Rs 11,199 crore.

During the quarter ended 31st December, 2014, the Company’s Dahej terminal has operated at around 110 % of its name plate capacity. The volume regasified at the Dahej Terminal during the third quarter of FY 2014-15 was 140.42 TBTUs. The Kochi Terminal, commissioned last year, however processed 0.99 TBTUs of LNG serving the Kochi Refinery in the vicinity of the Terminal with a capacity utlisation of 1.6 %. The total volume processed i.e. 141.41 TBTUs compares with a volume of 150.47 TBTUs in the previous quarter and 123.49 TBTUs in the corresponding quarter of the last year.

The net profit of Rs. 162 Crore in the third quarter is a 19 % increase over the corresponding quarter of the last year (i.e. Rs. 136 Crore). The reason for this increase in profit is an overall increase in volumes. However, as compared to the previous quarter, the profit has decreased by about 38%, i.e from Rs. 263 crore in the corresponding quarter last year to Rs. 162 crore in this quarter ended Dec. 31st 2014. This sharp decrease is on account of lower trading margins and lower volumes. This is primarily attributable to sudden drop in crude and product prices and changes in the domestic market conditions.

The work for expansion of Dahej LNG terminal from 10 MMTPA to 15 MMTPA is going on as per schedule and it is expected that this capacity expansion will be completed by end of the year 2016.
